1.     Dry-out time

Experts recommend to wait 30 days from the installation before you even think of cleaning the tinted windows. It might sound too long but experts advise not to use soapy water or cleaning cloth. This will give the tint ample time to dry, strengthening it and giving more worth for the money.

Dry-out time is very important for the tints to last longer. Initially wait for two to four days before taking any action, even lowering the windows to let the tint settle and stick to the surface of the window.

2.     Choosing the right cleaning products

3.     Use soft cloths for drying

After cleaning with a mild soapy liquid, first wipe the mist gently with a clean cloth and then use another microfiber cloth that is completely dry Swipe the windows for a streak-free finish. Wipe vertically rather than horizontally until all the mist is dry and no more streaks are to be found.

  • The second step is to open the door and spray the cleaner on both sides of the window, inside as well as outside.
  • Make sure not to miss the tint film edges. For edges use a damp cloth to get to all the dirt.
  • To dry the edges, use a dry microfiber cloth.
  • Use distilled water when cleaning. Don’t use hard water as it will leave white spots.

5.     Be careful when getting in and out of the vehicle
